Edison 25 Dehumidifier Manual
This hex nut is an authentic Whirlpool part that is sourced directly from the original equipment manufacturer, and will fit a variety of appliances including ovens, microwaves, refrigerators, air conditioners, and dishwashers. It is a metal part with a threaded hole to fasten parts in the appliance together. It is common for this part to wear out; it is recommended to order a spare.
To replace this part the tools needed are a nut driver or wrench. This nut features a built-in external tooth lock washer, which is used to help keep the nut in place. This hose clamp is used in a wide variety of household appliances. Most often it is found in washers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers, garbage disposals, or air conditioners. This clamp is used to securely attach a hose to another part of your appliance, which helps prevent leaks from those connections.
Depending on the appliance, it can attach hoses to drain pumps, water inlet valves, pressure switches, and injector nozzles. We recommend you refer to model-specific diagrams for appropriate uses and exact placement. This hose clamp is made of metal, and is sold individually.
To access and replace this part you will need a nut driver, pliers, and screwdrivers. Before you begin any repair work, make sure you have unplugged your appliance, and shut off the water supply if applicable. If your clothes washer is leaking, it is likely that there could be an issue with one of the hoses. If the hoses are in working order, you should check the washers connecting the hose to your unit. Rubber washers are tasked with enhancing the seal between the hose and washer. A faulty or damaged washer will not be able to perform this properly, and water will be able to leak from the poor connection. This OEM part is sold individually, so make sure you order the quantity that is needed.
The washer measures 1 1/16 inches x 5/8 inches. This is a float manufactured to fit into your dehumidifier. When the dehumidifier is in use and water is being absorbed from the air, the float detects the water level in your dehumidifier water bucket. When the appliance detects that the water bucket has reached its maximum level, it shifts the float switch to stop the appliance from dehumidifying so the bucket will not overfill. If your bucket has been underfilling or overfilling, you may need to replace this switch. This float is white in color and made entirely of plastic. This is a genuine replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer.
The function of the sensor assembly of your dehumidifier is to sense the humidity level and evaporator temperature to control humidity and water collection. If the unit says the bucket is full when it is not, or the unit will not stay on, you may need to replace the sensor assembly.
The sensor is connected to the control panel and you will need to open the dehumidifier to access the part for repair. This is an OEM part, sourced directly from the manufacturer. You may want to remove the power source from the dehumidifier before beginning this repair.
This part is found in your dehumidifier or air conditioner appliance. The dehumidifier reduces the humidity level in your home by pulling in the air through the unit. The condensation then builds up and lands into this bucket. The bucket catches the water that drips from the evaporator.
This bucket is dark brown in color and weighs approximately 5 lbs, is 13 inches in length, 5 inches in width, and 9 inches in height. No tools are necessary for its replacement, it simply slides into place. This product is a genuine OEM product that comes directly from the manufacturer. If the bucket is full indicator on your dehumidifier is on but the bucket is empty, you may have a problem with the float. If you notice that the float is warped or damaged, it should be replaced. This device is located near the bucket and prevents the dehumidifier from overflowing.
You will need to open up the dehumidifier to complete this repair. This product is approximately 4 inches in length. Many of our customers have rated this repair as easy. To complete the repair simply remove the clips that hold the float in place, attach the new float, and replace the clips. The compressor start relay attaches to the compressor in your refrigerator. If your refrigerator will not start, one of the most common parts to fail is the compressor start relay.
Sometimes called the controller, this device is used to boost the compressor until the unit is running. Other common symptoms connected to start relays include: refrigerator will not start, will not cool, is making a clicking, humming or buzzing sound, or the compressor itself is warm to the touch. You may also smell a burnt plastic odor if the relay has failed. Shake the relay and listen for any rattling, as this is a sign that it is faulty.
This turbo fan is commonly used in the assembly of air conditioners and dehumidifiers. The fan is used to draw air through the unit and move it forward into your home. If your fan is cracked, broken, or damaged, it will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of your appliance. If your dehumidifier is loud during its cycle, or the coils are icing over, the turbo fan could be the issue.
This fan assembly is made of black plastic, has an outside diameter of approximately 8 inches, and it is sold individually. This is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. This bucket and float kit, also known as water tank assembly, is for a dehumidifier is 14.5 inches long and 8.5 inches wide.
The water tank extracts, traps, and contains the moisture from the air, which dehumidifies your room. The kit contains one bucket, one flat, and two screws for installation. The bucket is white and made of plastic. You may need to replace this part if your dehumidifier is no longer trapping the water properly. This is an authentic part from the genuine manufacturer, and you cannot order the parts individually.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 10, 2013 Release # 03-019 WASHINGTON, D.C. In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), W.C. Wood Company, of Ottawa, Ohio, is voluntarily recalling about 2,500 dehumidifiers. Internal wiring can abrade on metal parts, presenting a risk of electric shock to consumers if the insulation wears through. Wood discovered the problem through routine testing.
No injuries or incidents have been reported. This recall is being done to prevent the possibility of injury.
The recall includes Wood's and Edison model 40-pint capacity dehumidifiers. The dehumidifiers were sold in white (Wood's) and beige (Edison) plastic with the word 'Wood's' or 'Edison' printed across the control panel. Both models have control knobs for fan speed and humidity level, and a 'bucket full' light. The model and serial numbers are written on a label behind the removable water bucket on the front of the unit. The label reads in part, 'Wood's' or 'Edison' and 'Made in Canada.' Consumer Product Safety Commission is charged with protecting the public from unreasonable risks of injury or death associated with the use of thousands of types of consumer products under the agency’s jurisdiction. Deaths, injuries, and property damage from consumer product incidents cost the nation more than $1 trillion annually.
