Intel Atom N450 Overclock Tool
I just watched a video on youtube, where you download a few simple programs(dont know if they were meant for a netbook). But you run them, then simply select how much you want to overclock the video card aswell as the cpu. It lets you run all kinds of games and helps with laggy videos (if a ram upgrade didnt solve the problem). I dont know anything about it, but im sure if a few vet overclockers watch the video they can let you know whats going on or if its even safe. Anyway heres the video. Today, I'm gonna show you how to overclock a netbook. Almost all netbooks powered by Intel Atom N450 processor which only runs at 1.66 GHz.

Maybe it can be only used for some little-computing work like word, presentasion, statistics, and little games. Of course there are so many ways to punch this little buddy up to 200% faster, the one and the most effective is overclocking. Overclocking an Atom n450 netbook is so much harder than overclocking an i7 laptop or desktop. Because netbook manufacture restrict a lot of features built in their product, including overclocking. You won't found the OC Feature in the netbook's BIOS.
But I have the alternative method to do that, by overclocking through the operating system (windows). So watch this 'till the end. Here's my netbook specifications: Model = MSI U135 Series Netbook Processor = Intel Atom N450 @1.72 GHz (SpeedStep disabled) GPU = Intel GMA 3150 RAM = 1 GB OS = Windows 7 Starter Before you do the overclocking, please make sure that you've prepared the things below: 1.
Ensure that your netbook is plugged to AC Charger. Because overclocking will cause more battery drain 2. Put you netbook in cool room. Because overclocking will also produces so much heat for your netbook 3.
Disable the Intel SpeedStep Technology in the BIOS (if you have it. Many netbooks have this feature enabled by default). Disabling Intel SpeedStep will keep the constant CPU frequency. So the CPU frequency won't be go lower when the netbook is idle, thus will make overclocking more effective 4. Switch the theme to Windows Classic (this affects a lot, trust me!) Thanks for watching.
